1. Ovarian Stimulation (Days 1-14-ish): You take hormone injections to mature multiple follicles.

  2. Monitoring: Bloodwork and ultrasounds track follicle growth and hormone levels.

  3. Trigger Shot: When follicles are mature (usually 18-20 mm), you’re given a trigger shot (like hCG or Lupron) to start the final egg maturation.

  4. Egg Retrieval: Eggs are retrieved about 34-36 hours after the trigger shot, right before natural ovulation would happen.

  5. Fertilization & Embryo Transfer: Eggs are fertilized in the lab and then transferred back at the best time for implantation.
